  • New Bunkhouse with Air-Conditioned or Heating
  • Showers not available with overnight stay.
  • We provide very comfortable bunk beds with vinyl mattresses.
  • We provide safety stirrups on all saddles - any closed shoe will be fine.
  • We provide all snacks, breakfast and lunch (All Meals and Snacks Included)     Leaders - What a wonderful feeling to just relax and let Blue Streak Stables Staff serve you.  All meals and snacks will be prepared and served to you.
  • Educational Classes – made Fun & Entertaining (Horse Fan or Horse Rider)
  • Certified Riding instructors. Girl Scout Approved Riding Facility
  • Trail rides as group Girl Scout must be Junior (4th grade or over) otherwise all riding skills remain in arena as a fun lesson/trail ride for girls under 4th grade
  • Our horses can accommodate a rider's weight no heavier than 180 lbs.

THINGS TO BRING:

Leader - Please bring the forms on your arrival-

1.  Participant Agreement, Release and Assumption of Risk

                     Signed by Girl Scout and Parent

2.  Girl Scout Troop and Blue Streak Stables Responsibilities Outline  

Sweater or jacket 
Closed shoe (no sandals or flip flops)

Safety Stirrups on Saddles- Boots not Required
Sleeping bag, or sheets with light blanket & Pillow (bunk beds with mattresses available)

Face Towel

Flash Light

Jeans for riding  

Your Badge Work:   Horse Rider

 

6:00pm Arrival at Blue Streak Stables (Please have dinner before they arrive)

6:00 - 6:30

6:30 - 7:00

Assign Bunkhouse, Set up beds for night, Feed Horses,

Visit "Camp Store" - bring money for souvenir

7:00 - 8:30 Introductions, Agenda Review, Assign Horses for next Day's Ride
8:30 - 8:45 Snack Break (cookies, ranch dip, juice, carrots & "Pop Corn")
8:45 - 9:45 pm Western Line Dancing "Fun & Excitement - Disco Lighted Dance Floor

Next Morning

 
6:00 AM Wake up Call
6:30 -7:45 1. Feed Horses

2. Camper Breakfast -

Waffels, Maple Syrup, Cereal or Toast, Fruits, Orange Juice, Apple Juice, Milk.

3.  Adult Breakfast - Above or choice of Bagel Cinamon Raisen or Plain with Cream Cheese if desired, Coffee or Soda or above Juices

7:45 - 11:45

Riding Instructions and Lesson, Trail Ride (30 minutes long)

While one group on trail ride other group will have educational classes on Feeding, Grooming Horse, Badge work continued until finished.

(Groups rotate through each activity until finished)

12:00 NOON  Camp Fire Fun – roasting hot dogs and marshmallows- S'Mores
2:00 PM Departure  "Ya'll Come Back - Ya Hear"
